About Me
About Bill
I came to photography in a way that most people come to thing; I was introduced to it as a teenager by my father. His “experiement” in trying something new for himself had the unintended consequences of catching my attention and igniting a passion that has never subsided.
Ironically, it was also my father (along with my uncle as well as family friends) that energized my passion for avation. For many years photography became secondary to the desire to fly airplanes. This was necessary to attain a level of professionalism that could not have been achieved without constant attention to one singular subject.
Today, I am a commercial airline pilot for a major US air carrier and a military pilot. The benefit of those positions gives me access to colleagues and aircraft from around the world. This is an extraordinary subject to photograph; the people, the machines, the missions; it has a beauty all its own.
